Myeongdong (명동)
K-Beauty shopping paradise · Olive Young, Innisfree, Laneige and other cosmetics street. Stores open 10:30–22:00. Street food stalls 16:00–23:00. Halal restaurants: Busan Jib (Halal BBQ), Kampungku (Malaysian food · prayer room available), Gurkha (Indian & Nepali Halal). Group tip: Groups of 20+ should split into 2–3 subgroups for shopping and then regroup. Photo spots: Myeongdong main street neon signs, Myeongdong Cathedral night view.
N Seoul Tower (N Seoul Tower · Namsan Tower)
Travel by Namsan cable car or bus. Mon–Fri 12:00–22:00, weekends 11:00–22:00 (last entry 21:30). 360° panoramic night view of Seoul city center. Duration approx. 1.5–2 hours. Photo spots: night view from observatory glass window, Love Lock Plaza, Namsan trail Seoul city view. Group tip: Cable car wait times increase for groups of 30+ — bus transfer recommended. Open 365 days a year.

Hanbok Rental → Gyeongbokgung Palace (景福宮 · Gyeongbokgung Palace)
Arrive at hanbok rental shop at 09:00 (50m walk from Gyeongbokgung Station Exit 4). Free admission to Gyeongbokgung when wearing hanbok! Open 09:00–18:00 (varies by season), closed Tuesdays. English guided tours at 11:00, 13:30 & 15:30 (advance reservation required for groups of 10+, max 30 persons). Duration approx. 1.5–2 hours. Must-see: Sujeongjeon, Geunjeongjeon, and Gyeonghoeru. Photo spots: Geunjeongjeon front, Gyeonghoeru pond reflection, Hyangwonjeong bridge. Group tip: Advance reservation required for large groups renting hanbok — groups of 50 should use 2 rental shops.
National Palace Museum of Korea
Located next to Gyeongbokgung South Gate. Free admission. Open 10:00–18:00 (until 21:00 on Wed & Sat for evening opening). Exhibits of Joseon royal artifacts, royal seals, and treasures. Duration approx. 40–60 minutes. Air-conditioned throughout — ideal rest stop in summer and winter. Group tip: Free exploration without a guide recommended; split into 2 teams for groups of 20+.
Bukchon Hanok Village (北村韓屋마을 · Bukchon Hanok Village)
15-minute walk from Gyeongbokgung. Free admission. 600 traditional hanok alleyhouses with 100 years of history. Visiting hours 10:00–17:00 (tourism restricted 17:00–10:00 from March 2025). Duration approx. 1–1.5 hours. Photo spots: top of Bukchon-ro 11-gil (hanok alley with Namsan Tower backdrop), Bukchon 8 scenic spots. Group tip: This is a residential area — move quietly; large groups should split into subgroups of 10. Visiting in hanbok makes for life-worthy photos!
Insadong (仁寺洞 · Insadong)
10-minute walk from Bukchon. Free street. Traditional crafts, Korean tea, galleries, and Ssamziegil multi-cultural complex. Ssamziegil open 10:30–20:30. Duration approx. 1–1.5 hours. Halal note: vegetarian bibimbap and tofu dishes available in Insadong; halal Korean food experience possible with advance booking. Photo spots: Ssamziegil spiral staircase, Korean signboards along Insadong street.
Gwangjang Market (廣藏市場 · Gwangjang Market)
One subway stop from Insadong. Free entry (food purchased separately). Open 09:00–23:00. Korea's oldest traditional market (established 1905). Halal note: most stalls use pork or non-halal meat — Muslim visitors are recommended to choose plant-based options such as vegetable pancake (yachae-jeon), japchae (no meat), silkworm bread, and hotteok. Guide will direct guests to halal-friendly stalls in advance. Duration approx. 1–1.5 hours. Photo spots: panoramic view of food stall alley, bindaetteok (mung bean pancake) being cooked.
Cheonggyecheon Stream (清溪川 · Cheonggyecheon Stream)
5-minute walk from Gwangjang Market. Free admission. Open 24 hours. 5.8km urban artificial stream night walking trail. Enjoy sections with LED lighting installations. Winter (Dec–Jan) Seoul Lantern Festival — large lantern displays along the entire Cheonggyecheon stream, free admission. Duration approx. 30–45 minutes of walking. Photo spots: night view from Gwangtonggyo Bridge, Cheonggye Plaza spring sculpture, Supyogyo LED tunnel. Group tip: As a walking trail, large groups can move freely.

Group tip: Group discounts available with advance reservation for 20+ persons — arriving at opening time 10:00 recommended to reduce wait. Directly connected to Samsung Station. Free admission. Open 10:00–22:00, open year-round. 13m-high grand bookshelf · 70,000 volumes · Instagram landmark. Shopping and dining connected within COEX Mall. Duration approx. 30–60 minutes (1.5 hours including shopping). Photo spots: central atrium bookshelf panorama (wide-angle lens recommended), looking down from 2nd floor balcony. Group tip: Recommended to give group free time then regroup at food court. Hongdae & Yeonnam-dong (弘大 · Hongdae & Yeonnam-dong)
Hongik University Station Exit 9. Free street. Street performances active on weekend afternoons and evenings (Walkway Street · Hongdae Playground area). K-pop dance crews, beatboxers, live painting. Independent cafes, vintage shops, and concept stores. Gyeongui Line Forest Trail in Yeonnam-dong popular. Duration approx. 1.5–2 hours. Halal restaurants: many Muslim-friendly restaurants (Hongdae Islamic restaurant, halal chicken specialty shops). Photo spots: Hongdae walkway street murals, Gyeongui Line Forest Trail cafe street, Yeontral Park. Group tip: Less crowded if visiting before 18:00; street performances peak Fri–Sat 19:00–22:00.
Han River Park & Cruise (漢江 · Han River Park & Cruise)
Yeouido Han River Park or Banpo Han River Park. Free admission (24 hours). Convenience store chicken delivery available (halal alternative: prepare halal lunchboxes with advance order). Banpo Bridge Moonlight Rainbow Fountain operates Apr–Oct (20:00, 20:30, 21:00). Duration: 1 hour park walk + 1 hour cruise. The Seoul module is recommended as the starting point for all itinerary combinations. It is the most suitable first destination for arrivals via Incheon Airport. For Sri Lankan Muslim groups: halal restaurants are concentrated near Seoul Central Mosque in Itaewon, and halal-certified restaurants are also increasing in Myeongdong and Hongdae. Essential to confirm prayer times and nearby prayer rooms (such as Kampungku) in advance. Note: Gyeongbokgung is closed on Tuesdays; tourism in Bukchon is restricted after 17:00 (fine ₩100,000). Large groups (20+ persons) can receive discounts and shorter wait times by making advance group reservations for hanbok rental, cruise, and observatory.
